Community Development Coordinator – Community Based Overdose Response Team

Accomplishments:

  • Project leader in forming the Community Based Overdose Response Team (CBORT)

  • Working collaboratively with the Fraser Health Authority Population Health Team to design and create an Asset Map and Gap Analysis to inform current and future actions of CBORT

  • Conducted interviews and developed surveys for Community Members, Businesses, Institutions, and Associations leaders to better understand the impact of the current Opioid Crisis

  • Working collaboratively with Fraser Health Authority Population Health Team, submitted a CAI grant application 

  • Working across local systems including Fraser Health Authority, Community groups, and local governments connected leaders through conversation to better understand the impacts of the current Opioid Crisis

  • Facilitated the roll out and a national pilot training program for physicians, Canadian AC Connect Pilot program 

  • Represented and facilitated critical relationships with the C-Suite and Directors of Pharmacy Operations within Regional Health Authorities in BC & Alberta, along with key retail food and drug banner accounts, like London Drugs, which helped mitigate financial risk and increase company exposure

  • Explored and negotiated partnership opportunities with the aim of identifying future opportunities for enhanced Lilly portfolios and partnerships, which resulted in the following positive outcomes: 

o  Secured a strategic partnership with the Interior Health Authority (IHA) to fund their new Youth Psychiatric Unit  

o  Partnered with the David Thompson Health Region (Red Deer Alberta) on compassionate use program for those persons living with mentally illness  

o  In conjunction with Fraser Health Authority (FHA) developed and implemented a major region wide health and nutrition fitness initiative, called Healthy Body Healthy Mind (HBHM) in 17 mental health centres, hospitals and community programs across the region which was considered a standard of care at that time within FHA
